If you Itemize (single $6,100 or Head of Household $8,950 or Married $12,200):
- Bank information including routing and account numbers for direct deposit
- Any Internal Revenue Service or Franchise Tax Board correspondence received
- Any other documents you feel may be needed or have questions about
Personal Information: (new clients only)
- Social Security numbers and birth dates for yourself, spouse and
dependents - Address and contact information
- Previous years return
Employment:
- W-2's from all employers and K-1 forms
Self Employment and Rental Income:
- Schedule summarizing business or rental income and expenses
- 1099's for earnings of $600 or more
- Home office expenses
Investment Income and forms:
- Interest and Dividend Income
- Stock and bond sales/Capital gains - include purchase date and
cost
Other Income:
- 1099's for unemployment compensation, state tax refunds
- Miscellaneous income (Social Security and Railroad Rebates)
- Gambling income
- Alimony received or paid
Deductions and credit
- Name, address, phone number and social security or identification number of
all child care providers, plus amount paid to each - Moving, Educational expenses, and Student loan interest
- Date and amount of each estimated tax payment
If you Itemize (single $6,100 or Head of Household $8,950 or Married $12,200):
- Medical Expenses
- 1098 Mortgage interest statements
- DMV Fees and property taxes
- Sales tax on any large items including new vehicles
- Charitable contributions
- Employee expenses/union dues/tax preparation fee
